What Pedometer knows about you

The app

Nothing. Pedometer has no account, no analytics and no server. Steps are read from the phone's own counter and shown on the screen. They are not sent anywhere.

Calories

If you choose to see calories, the app stores your weight, your height and, if you gave it, your sex. The values live in the phone's protected storage and are used only for the calorie and distance lines. Remove deletes them.

Permissions

The app asks for one permission: motion (Android: physical activity, iOS: motion & fitness). That is what lets it read the step counter. Nothing else.

This website

pedometer.se measures visits with Umami on our own server: page, country and browser, without cookies and without any visitor being identifiable. Links to the stores and to our other sites carry a source tag so we can see what came from here.
